We lost by the same score as the previous game against our opponents (5-2).
After a complicated start to the league due to a number of absences (injuries, players still on holiday), our first team faced FC Villars-Tiercelin today for the third matchday of the season..
The team got off to a good start with a 2-0 lead, thanks to goals from Johnny Simões and Miris Hoti.
But individual errors allowed our opponents to quickly get back on level terms before the end of the first half.
When the half-time whistle blew, the two goals conceded before half-time had taken their toll on morale, and our players were unable to get their game going on the small Villars-Tiercelin pitch.
This week, the team has the tough task of facing FC Renens (2nd league) in the round of 32 (Wednesday 4 September at 8pm) of the BCV Cup. The Renens team are favourites, given their status and the difference in level.
We hope that our players can make things more difficult for our opponents, and that this can kick-start a good week's work when we return home to face FC Echallens (Sunday 8 September, 2.30pm).
A very complicated start to the season, but the team will soon have to lift their heads and turn things around.
